Preparation
Step 1
Take a large wine glass (ideal for Spritzes) and pack it generously with high-quality ice cubes.
Bartender's tip
Floral aromas are very delicate. A well-chilled glass helps "lock in" the rose and juniper scents so they don't evaporate too quickly. Feel free to chill your glass in the freezer for a few minutes before serving!
Step 2
Pour the 50 ml of Sober Spirits G 0.0% and the 15 ml of rose syrup directly over the ice. Stir delicately with a bar spoon.
Bartender's tip
Because rose syrup is sweet and dense, it's crucial to blend it well with the zero-proof spirit before adding water. This ensures a consistent pink hue and balanced flavor from the very first sip.
Step 3
Top with 100 ml of chilled sparkling water. Gently lift the ice once from the bottom up to unify the cocktail.
Bartender's tip
Sparkling water "breaks" the sometimes heavy side of floral syrups. Tilt your glass to pour the water down the inside wall, preserving maximum bubbles for an ultra-refreshing Spritz!
Step 4
Slide a grapefruit slice into the glass, express a fine twist of lemon zest over the top, and scatter a few edible rose petals if you have them.
Bartender's tip
A lemon twist is the bartender's secret for rose cocktails! Its essential oils provide a hint of olfactory sharpness that cuts through the "candy" aspect of the rose, making the cocktail taste much more chic and mature.
