Preparation

Step 1

Prepare the Glass
Take a Highball glass and pack it completely with fresh ice cubes.

Bartender's tip

More ice actually means less dilution! A glass filled to the brim with ice stays colder for much longer and won't water down your drink as you sip it.

Step 2

Pour the Spirit
Pour the 50 ml of Sober Spirits W 0.0% directly over the ice.

Bartender's tip

Always pour your spirit first. This allows the liquid to immediately start chilling as it cascades over the ice before you add your mixer.

Step 3

Add the Ginger Ale
Gently top with the 100 ml of Ginger Ale, then stir very delicately with a bar spoon.

To preserve the maximum amount of fizz, slightly tilt your glass and pour the Ginger Ale slowly down the inside wall. When stirring, don't overdo it—just one or two gentle lifts from the bottom up is all you need.

Step 4

The Final Garnish
Cut a fresh strip of orange peel, give it a gentle twist over the top of the glass to release its aromas, and drop it in.
