Bartender's tip
No shaker? Use a tightly closed jam jar: it works just as well for a good mix.
Step 2
Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously a second time.
Bartender's tip
The shaker should be at least 50% full of ice cubes to prevent the ice cubes from melting too quickly and diluting the cocktail. Shake vigorously for at least 10 seconds to thoroughly mix the ingredients and achieve a uniform color.
Step 3
Finely strain into a chilled old-fashioned glass. Garnish with orange zest.
Bartender's tip
The Sober Spirits Shaker contains a built-in filter called a "Cocktail Strainer" allowing you to collect only the liquid and enjoy great, well-filtered non-alcoholic cocktails!
Egg whites add a silky texture and light foam to the surface, typical of a classic Whisky Sour. It doesn't alter the taste, but it does make the cocktail more visually elegant and pleasant on the palate. If you prefer to avoid eggs, you can opt for a plant-based substitute like aquafaba (chickpea juice).
