The Chenonceau offers a warm, smooth, and spectacular alcohol-free experience. Named after the magnificent 'Château des Dames' in the Loire Valley, this cocktail pays tribute to the opulent Renaissance banquets and the rich culinary heritage of the French court. In this sweet and velvety 0.0% creation, Sober Spirits W 0.0% reveals its deep, oaky character in perfect harmony with crisp apple juice, smooth vanilla, and a touch of bright lemon. Served in a glass delicately smoked with toasted cinnamon, it is a comforting and highly aromatic masterpiece to be savored slowly.

Ingredients

  • 50 ml Sober Spirits W 0.0%
  • 15 ml of Vanilla syrup
  • 20 ml Lemon juice
  • 100 ml Apple juice
  • Cinnamon
  • 1 large clear ice or a few ice cubes

– Sober Spirits R 0.0%
– Sober Spirits Amaretto 0.0%

Preparation

Step 1

Smoke the Glass (The Showstopper)
Take a cinnamon stick and carefully toast one end with a lighter (or a kitchen torch) until it starts smoking. Place it on a heat-safe surface and immediately invert your serving glass over it to trap the smoke like a dome. Let it sit for about 1 minute.

Bartender's tip

Smoke clings much better to cold surfaces! Chill your glass in the freezer for 10 minutes before smoking it. The condensation will deeply lock in those rich, roasted cinnamon notes.

Step 2

Ice it Up
After a minute, flip the glass right-side up (enjoy that incredible aroma!), remove the cinnamon stick, and immediately fill the glass to the top with large ice cubes.

Bartender's tip

Never skimp on ice. A glass completely packed with ice keeps the liquid colder and actually melts much slower than a glass with just a few cubes, preventing your cocktail from getting watered down.

Step 3

Pour the Ingredients
Directly into your ice-filled glass, pour the 50 ml of Sober Spirits W 0.0%, 100 ml of apple juice, 15 ml of vanilla syrup, and the freshly squeezed juice of half a lemon.

Bartender's tip

Before cutting your lemon, press down firmly and roll it back and forth on the counter with the palm of your hand. This bursts the internal juice vesicles, allowing you to extract significantly more juice with less effort!

Step 4

The Stir
Using a long bar spoon, gently stir the cocktail from the bottom up for a few seconds to perfectly blend the flavors.

Bartender's tip

Slide the back of your spoon down the inside edge of the glass and stir in a smooth motion without chipping the ice. The goal is to pull the thick vanilla syrup up from the bottom and integrate it flawlessly with the spirit and juices.

Step 5

The Final Garnish
Dust a light pinch of ground cinnamon over the top and elegantly place a dehydrated apple slice in the glass.

Bartender's tip

Lightly toast the dehydrated apple slice with a lighter or torch for just a second before placing it on top. This slightly caramelizes its natural sugars and releases an irresistible "baked apple" aroma right before your first sip.
