Bartender's secrets

Squeezing the lemon rather than pounding?
Squeezing the lemon allows you to recover only the good juice of the lemon. Squeezing reveals the bitter lemon peel and the essential oil of the lemon. To balance the flavors it is better to squeeze than to squeeze.

History of the Jamaican Mule

A cocktail with a copper look!

In the early 1940s, John Martin, importer of Smirnoff Vodka, wanted to conquer the American market. It was a very big market where there was everything to do and where John felt there was a huge potential. In 1941, he met Jack Morgan, a distributor of Ginger Beer who was struggling to expand. The two partners, having a hard time to establish themselves on the American market, had a genius idea: to associate their products in an original cocktail with a surprising look, in copper cups. The Moscow Mule (based on Vodka) was born.

The Moscow Mule, now served all over the world, has a multitude of fruity but also alcoholic variations with Cachaça, Tequila, Mezcal or Rum which gave the names Brazilian, Mexican, Peruvian and, of course, our famous Jamaïcan Mule.

To each his own Cocktail Mule, for us, it will be the Jamaïcan Mule version Sober!
