Bartender tips
To create a decoration that will surprise all your guests at the aperitif, take a whole lime and a peeler. Use the peeler to grate a thin and long strip of peel. Cut the edges to form a parallelogram shape. Place it on your glass using a small clamp.
Use agave syrup instead of sugar to lower the glycemic index (15 for agave syrup, 70 for sugar).
Origins of the cocktail
The Daiquiri, originating from Cuba in the early 20th century, was created by American engineer Jennings Cox. Quickly adopted by residents and American soldiers in Cuba, it became famous worldwide in the 1940s and 1950s, especially thanks to celebrities like Ernest Hemingway.
